Softcover with stapled binding – This is the version of the book I originally reviewed, and I highly recommend it if you can find a copy of it at a reasonable price.This book is available in the following format(s): Either way, you shouldn’t have a problem locating yarn that will work well for making these designs. I can’t personally imagine wanting to crochet such luxurious-looking designs using that particular yarn for the amount of effort that will be required to make one of these afghans, I’d recommend spending a bit more on a nicer yarn, perhaps Cascade 220 Superwash or a similar washable wool, that would result in a truly heirloom-quality afghan. However, the project samples in this book are all made with Red Heart Super Saver, which is still readily available if you want it. One of the main issues with an older pattern book is that the suggested yarns can sometimes no longer be located. ![]() The patterns are classic designs that will still be usable decades from now.
